Silence feels like a security blanket but is perilously deceptive. Many marriages continue for years in a state of armed truce. In That Long Silence as a partner, though unconsciously, Mohan belittles Jaya or tries to control her like many Indian husbands resulting into a state of selfloathing, helplessness, and desperation and finally, she experiences only an abusive relationship. This paper puts forth a kind of irreversible conditions due to some conflict in the selected literary work only to discuss at observing decisions through lens of reversible and irreversible, the power of decision-making process becomes dynamic that changes the spectrum of life events.
