Publication Ethics
Publication Ethics
Erothanatos tries to uphold scholarly publication ethics as far as possible. Our journal encourages all the scholars to bring forth new ideas of research and reveal new horizon of research ability.
Author
While submitting an article, the author should have the responsibility of the following publication ethics:
· The submitted content is an original research work of the author(s).
· The article has been submitted by the author(s) with the intention to be published in Erothanatos.
· The content or any part of it has been submitted nowhere else to be published in time of submitting to Erothanatos and during the process of reviewing it.
· The content is redundant. The author must not resubmit any article if it was earlier rejected. However, the author may do so if he/she is requested to do so after the necessary corrections and changes.
The authors must not submit more than one article for publication in a single issue unless the submitted one is rejected and the author is said to submit another.
Ethical Guidelines for the Author
Erothanatos is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. Authors are required to submit original works not under consideration elsewhere and must avoid plagiarism, ensuring all sources are properly cited. The journal employs a double-blind peer review process to maintain impartiality, with editors adhering to strict ethical guidelines. Post-publication, authors may request changes to enhance their articles, subject to the General Editor's approval. Both authors and editors must disclose any conflicts of interest to maintain transparency. Authors retain copyright for their published content, allowing for republishing in other formats with appropriate citation, while the journal prohibits resubmission to other journals. All content is intended for academic use and must not be used for commercial purposes.
Plagiarism
Erothanatos hates plagiarism. Authors must not use any content like phrase, sentence, figure, image, and ideas without proper permission/citation. In case any article is found to have been plagiarised before or after the publication, the author will be blacklisted and the article will be rejected and removed instantly.
AI-Generated Content Policy
1. Introduction
Erothanatos is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. As AI-generated content becomes increasingly prevalent, this policy outlines the ethical and procedural guidelines for incorporating AI-assisted tools in scholarly submissions.
2. Authorship and AI Contributions
AI-generated content, including text, images, data analysis, and references, cannot be attributed as an author. Authors must take full responsibility for their submitted work, ensuring that AI-generated content, if used, is appropriately disclosed and does not constitute substantive authorship.
3. Permitted Use of AI Tools
AI tools may be used for limited purposes such as language enhancement, data analysis assistance, and formatting, provided they do not contribute original scholarly arguments or critical analysis. Authors must acknowledge the use of AI tools in a dedicated section of their manuscript.
4. Prohibited Uses of AI
AI-generated content that is presented as original scholarly thought or analysis.
The use of AI to fabricate data, references, or experimental results.
The submission of entirely AI-generated papers, including those created using large language models.
5. Disclosure Requirements
Authors must disclose the use of AI-assisted tools in their methodology section or acknowledgments. The disclosure should specify the tool used and the extent of its involvement in the research or writing process.
6. Ethical and Legal Considerations
AI-generated content must comply with ethical research standards, including plagiarism and copyright laws. Any use of AI should align with established academic integrity norms and publisher guidelines.
7. Review and Compliance
Submissions found to contain undisclosed AI-generated content or to violate this policy may be subject to desk rejection, retraction, or further investigation. Authors are encouraged to exercise discretion and ensure transparency in their scholarly contributions.
8. Policy Updates
This policy will be reviewed periodically to adapt to emerging developments in AI technology and academic publishing practices.
Peer Review Process
Erothanatos is a peer-reviewed journal. The reviewing process is double blind, that is, we always conceal the identity of both the reviewers and the author from both parties. The Editors follow the code of conduct and the Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.
